You may not know this, but I set a New Years Resolution to do more product reviews. Well... It's November and I haven't done a single one... BUT I also only did one last year so the bar was set pretty low (If you are breastfeeding or planning to breastfeed, check out the Milkies Milk-Saver Review). I may be procrastinating, but I think I can handle two reviews in the next two months!
Anyway, I really really want to be writing about my training... but last time I did that, I immediately got re-injured... now I'm not superstitious about it, but I am a little sticious (If you miss the reference, we are not friends) So I'm waiting until I get over just one more hump. Head over to myinstagram or follow me on strava if you're interested in seeing my training immediately!
Moving on...
Today I'm reviewing the Rollga Roller. Here's a little background info for you on how I came about this product. Back in 2015 I was training for a marathon, per usual, I was suffering with shin and calf injuries. While ferociously googling solutions to all my problems and watching youtube tutorials on stretches I haven't yet tried, this roller popped up as an advertisement and I immediately wanted it. It was very hard for me to justify immediately spending the money because as most of you know my husband works in specialty running stores and has access to every roller ever made... and he convinced me that if it was really good it would be in a store of his soon and he could probably get one for free from a manager or something.... Well, He was wrong. I can't tell you why they are not yet in specialty stores, but I do expect we will see these awesome rollers popping up all over in no time. When I saw so many of my instagram friends receiving a roller, I messaged begging for one of my own. I was given one with really no requirement to do anything except take a picture and give honest feedback to my followers. When you have a good product, you don't need to bribe people to say good things about it or to post a certain amount of times per week. For me all the posts have been natural. I'm using this product every day, I love it, and I want everyone to have one! No roller addresses shins like this! and shin pain is a precursor to calf injuries for me so it's been a game-changer. Anyway... Heres a video to tell you more about it. I did this video because a. New Years Resolutions, and b. I can not say enough good things about it. No one asked me to do this, but after so many people inquiring about it via my instagram, it made sense to move forward toward my goal with this product. I'm so cautious to accept any product offering because I value my followers so much and I don't want them to see my account shift towards a place for advertising, but I will never lie to you about a product, and I'll only recommend things that I really believe in. This is way at the top of the list. Check out why! So, as mentioned in the video, check my instagram page for a giveaway! November is a month of being Thankful, and I am thankful for all the support I've received this year in my journey back to healthy running. I can't believe how many new followers I gained while injured, and I truly appreciate all your support! The only *rules* are to 1. Follow Rollga on instagram @Rollgahealth 2. Tag two friends who would be interested in this product in the comments under the instagram giveaway post You DON'T need to follow me, because again, this is for you guys and I don't want generic followers... BUT if you want to follow me... that's cool, hopefully more running and less injury this coming year! BONUS: You respond to this blog post with your favorite method of recovery... other than foam rolling, with your new Rollga Roller of course (make sure your instagram handle is included in the comments!)! Giveaway Ends 11/13 before midnight, and winner will be announced shortly after. I truly hope you enjoyed the review and that I was able to give you a good sense of the versitility of this myofascial release tool . I'd love to try out other products and give them an honest review... if you have any suggestions, send them my way! If you don't win the giveaway, want one of these Rollers, and want to help a girl out, I'd appreciate it if you could use one of the amazon links below. I certainly don't make a living off of my blog, but every little bit helps! It also makes it easier for me to validate spending time doing this when I get some feedback, so if you find this helpful, leave a comment!

Food counts as recovery, too! I like your thinking! Be sure to include IG handle if you’re part of the giveaway!

I have had horrible shin splints too!! I have found that compression socks hello me recover from shin splints, muscle fatugfa, etc. Like... It helps me more than Epsom salt baths!!! I would love this roller. Found 80 Day Obsession while running had me basically dead 😂

I used to swear they caused my issues but now I won’t run without! I think i only wore them when I was so close to injury that I’d get injured and just blame compression sleeves. Have you ever tried compression pants? I love the brand skins!

I really like air compression chambers (think normatec).

YESSSS! My dad has bad circulation on his legs and I’m trying to get a pair from his insurance- then i can use too! Fun fact, my legs have used the same Normatecs as Christian bake and mark wahlberg (they filmed the fighter near where I went to the gym) Thanks for the comment!

After watching your video, I really need to upgrade my foam roller. Cheap one from Walmart and it’s getting a dip in the middle. Ha! Ok, I foam roll every muscle I can get to. I’m convinced this helped recover my muscles during marathon training and kept me from getting too sore. I love to use it on my shins, inner thighs and roll my back out(I love to hear it pop!)

I think the best recovery for me is rest and days off. Sounds obvious, but sometimes it’s really hard to actually take a rest day! Those days I usually feel a bit annoyed and “off”, but I know it’s needed!!

I am a big fan of rolling, epsom salt baths, ice baths-occasionally (they are harder to convince myself I need ha ha) . I have been using a tennis ball on my feet and up my calves, I struggle with foam rolling those areas. I use a chiropractor and massage therapist too. My twins did a number on my hips and back. My c section did a number on my core strength so I get readjusted. Helps so much!

I think that finding and going to see my sports chiropractor has been a great recovery tool! I think there is a lot of great recovery tools like foam rolling, icing, heating, eating well, and even keeping up with PT exercises that are really important. However, I think that

I usually foam roll using the original worm for my recovery, I also ice any sore spots and take an epsom salt bath. I also do major stretching on the daily with my favorite yoga moves, usually for tight hips.

Other than a delicious post run meal, my fave way to recover is with this small massager thing I got off Amazon. I foam foll every morning and use that every night :)

Hello!Welcome to my blog! I've been blogging for a long time on various platforms. My intention has never been to reach the masses, but rather to give myself a chance to reflect and journal. I feel it at least challenges me to be somewhat coherent, however you can expect ramblings and grammatical incorrectness here!
I've recently been diagnosed with CECS and fPAES and had it treated with BOTOX of all things... So I suspect to see more and more people looking for answers with that in the future and hope to continue blogging so there will be easy to access follow-ups as that was helpful for me. NOTE: Apologies that some of the pictures incorrectly load sometimes. I try to keep up with the glitches, but can't always! Hope it doesn't impact the blog experience for all the PAES visitors.
