Baby Germain is the size of: a big baby. Probably outgrew all it's newborn clothes at this point. Ultrasound tomorrow to check everything.
This week's craving: A baby
This week's aversion: Pregnancy

MONDAY- 2.5 Mile walk Around Campus: 40:00-  Now that the party is over and that I had that one false alarm where the contractions got very close together, I lost my mucus plug, and am confirmed to be 3cm 80% effaced, I'm feeling really anxious. I also feel like things should get going soon as long as I keep moving. I walked 2.5 with my husband to see if I could get some steady contractions going again. #fail. ....... I'm terrible at the last phase of pregnancy. Terrible.

TUESDAY- OFF- I had a doctors appointment today. She asked if I wanted membranes stripped, but I said no. As much as I want to have this baby, I also don't want to force anything TOO much and end up in a C-secton because my body wasn't ready. My mom wasn't home to watch Raea today and Matt was throwing up all day so I did nothing... I just thought "well, I guess this would be a bad time to have a baby" ... another day of putting myself on bed rest because the last thing I wanted was to deliver a baby with a husband throwing up more than I would be and then not being able to enjoy the baby. We did some grocery shopping and laundry and that's about it.

WEDNESDAY - 3 Miles with 6x David Prouty Hills (115ft elevation per hill 14% grade) 1:15 minutes total: Matt was feeling better, but not 100%. It seems that he might have had some pepperoni in some of the leftover pizza from Raea's party and thought it was cheese. We are vegetarian so pepperoni is like a virus to Matt and it took a few days to get out of his system. I was tired of being home all day so I went to the High School next door and walked up and down the huge, mountainous hill hoping to get some contractions going again... but obviously this didn't work

THURSDAY- Sneakerama Fun Run: 2.6 miles (1.8 run, .8 walk) 38:52- I thought after a few days off from running I'd feel okay to do one more run (because obviously walking huge hills, eating special cream cheese, driving on bumpy roads, etc. didn't work so running will) I was thinking "this will be it"... So I ran. Then I walked. I did get a steady amount of contractions when I got home at night but they were even weaker than the night I was sent home from the hospital and WAY further apart. I was just hoping they would turn into something more, but NOPE. Running didn't work.

FRIDAY-: 35 minutes on the Elliptical (Alternating 5 minutes on high resistance with low RPM, and then 5 minutes on low resistance with high RPM) After eating a whole pineapple some mangoes and some dates (because those are on the list of things that "help" induce labor) I went to my parents to use the Elliptical in my dads barn and also so that someone could watch Raea. How easy it would be if I could just have my water break like in the movies. I get stressed about our night time plan with Raea because it's not as solid or easy as if I had to be admitted in the hospital during the day. I don't want to rock the boat for her life more than we already will... so waking her up and dragging her to my parents in the middle of the night isn't that great for her... and then waiting for my parents to get to our house adds 40 minutes at least to our already 35 minute commute to the hospital... and I'm afraid to call my mom with a false alarm because that just sucks for everyone. I started getting contractions just before I left my parents but again super weak and far apart. I tried to convince my sister to come stay with me so it would just be brainless and easy if things progressed... but they never did... so, back home. So annoyed.

SATURDAY- Socializing and Drills: Matt and I are both getting pretty anxious about the baby but making plans with other people was a good move for our sanity. We went out with friends for breakfast. Raea got asked a very important question and accepted being the flower girl for Jeff and Meghans wedding! Then we went to Ella's first birthday party. Raea was a little confused when Ella opened the present from her. Afterall, Raea had a week long birthday celebration and got to open a flower girl gift in the morning, so she thinks that all presents in the world are for her. If that's not a sign she needs a sibling, I don't know what is! I got some whimpy contractions again, but they went on for many hours. I felt good about this! I thought well, I'm going to do some drills and maybe that will get things moving quicker. Complete opposite... drills caused contractions to stop it seemed! I had a horrible nights sleep though, lots of pain when the baby moved or got hiccups or anything...

SUNDAY- 1 mile down, up; out and back on the Clinton Dam stairs (640 stairs). I just have to keep moving and doing new or slightly different things to stay sane. The Clinton Dam stairs were challenging and also a really good workout without the impact of running so I was able to feel comfortable the whole time (well... comfortable for someone at 40 weeks pregnant). We walked up and down for 35 minutes. I wanted to do more for the labor inducing reasons, but for the sake of my long term plans I had to stop before my piriformis muscle started acting up. It was a beautiful day to be outside as well so totally worth it. I just would really like to have my body back, now!

Additional Work (PG rated version):
Labor Inducing cream cheese
Pineapple
Dates
Mango
Bumpy Drives
Spicy foods
walking
running
bouncing on stability ball
Hills
Stairs
... I give up.

**TOTAL MILES: 11.9**
A variety of different types of miles put in here... but overall a good week of cross training. Due date is tomorrow and I have a non-stress test, ultrasound, and weekly appointment. I set up my induction date for the 21st, I just hope the baby comes on it's own before that!

Looking Forward To: Obviously....
Gender Prediction: Don't care.

    Hello!

Welcome to my blog! I've been blogging for a long time on various platforms. My intention has never been to reach the masses, but rather to give myself a chance to reflect and journal. I feel it at least challenges me to be somewhat coherent, however you can expect ramblings and grammatical incorrectness here!

I've recently been diagnosed with CECS and fPAES and had it treated with BOTOX of all things... So I suspect to see more and more people looking for answers with that in the future and hope to continue blogging so there will be easy to access follow-ups as that was helpful for me.

NOTE: Apologies that some of the pictures incorrectly load sometimes. I try to keep up with the glitches, but can't always! Hope it doesn't impact the blog experience for all the PAES visitors.
